Caitlin Cunningham

Caitlin Cunningham is an associate at Malachite LLC. In this capacity, Ms. Cunningham participates in client engagements related to green architecture, space planning, facilities management and the sustainable certification of new commercial developments and interior and base building retrofits. Ms. Cunningham also assists in business development and client relations relating to energy efficiency, carbon emissions and green building certification under LEED, Energy Star and other sustainable guidelines. She holds the LEED Accredited Professional designation of the U.S. Green Building Council.

Before joining Malachite LLC, Ms. Cunningham worked as a drafter for Helicon Works, a green architectural firm, where she assisted the lead designer, collaborated with clients and drafted architectural documents. While pursuing her architectural training, she worked with the architecture firm of Wilmot Sanz, where she assisted the interior design team on major projects and coordinated specifications and product orders.

Ms. Cunningham has worked for the Enchanting Group in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she consulted on green building guidelines and researched LEED-certified hotels. She has also worked in the facilities management department of the Children's Inn of the National Institutes of Health, the U.S. government's foremost medical research center and a worldwide leader in clinical trials. In this role, Ms. Cunningham assisted the facility manager on renovation projects, implemented designs, prepared product specification and developed budget materials.

Ms. Cunningham holds a B.S. in Interior Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her training included extensive study and travel related to architecture through Italy, Spain, England, Ireland, France, Greece and Switzerland.
